Doctor of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncturist

Member of Chinese Acupuncture Association
Senior Member of CATA
Senior Master of Tuina
Member of GCTCM of UK
Member of CTCMA of Canada

Dr. Wen Rong Chen is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) registered in B.C., the U.K. and China. After graduating from the University of Chinese Medicine in China, he continued his quest for knowledge while practicing at a local TCM Hospital under the guidance of renowned TCM professor Shouli Yue. During his busy hospital practice, he gained profound clinical experience in both acupuncture and herbal medicine which allowed him to join the Chinese Acupuncture Association and become a senior member of CATA (China Acupuncture &Tuina Association). Dr. Chen is also the member of GCTCM of UK and CTCMA of Canada.

Practicing acupuncture, herbal medicine, and tuina, Dr. Chen focuses his treatment on spinal disorders, cardiac and stroke symptoms, and paediatric problems. When he was invited to practice Chinese medicine in England, he successfully treated many conditions such as arthritis, skin disease, menopause, PMS, and cardiac problems. He brought his knowledge of herbal medicine with him, producing over 30 new Herbal formulas to solve local symptoms.

The desire to integrate Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern medicine occurred to Dr.Chen when he taught Chinese medicine to overseas students 10 years ago in China. The concept of prevention which is an important theory of Chinese medicine became his clinical focus when he came to the West. Dr. Chen would like to bring the modern research of TCM in Asia to the West in order to adapt the ancient oriental medicine into new fields.
There is a unique paediatric therapy in China called Tuina, which dates back more than 300 years. Although this therapy is still practiced, there are few qualified practitioners left in China. In order to save this nearly extinct therapy, Dr. Chen compiled a book collecting all historical records about this art, introducing it to the West. Simply applying gentle manipulations to specific points on the left hand and arm can treat almost all common paediatric symptoms, without the use of any oral medication. Although paediatric tuina is well known in China, it is a new concept to the Western family. Dr. Chen has brought this alternative healing modality with him to our clinic in order to provide parents with more options for their children's health.

Bowen Therapist

Claudine Boisvert

The natural healing arts have been a lifelong passion for Claudine. Her journey began by graduating as a Massage Therapist in the province of Quebec in 2006. Early in 2007, she moved to Vancouver where she continued her healing pursuits by taking energy healing training in Pranic Healing. Already sensitive to people's energy fields, she developed the ability to clear and balance auras and chakras.

Several months after, she was invited to participate in a workshop in Bowen Technique. Knowing the technique from a prior trip to Australia in 2005, the timing was finally right and she undertook formal training in the technique and graduated in 2007 in Vancouver. Since then she has successfully helped many people overcome their various conditions.

The Bowen Technique treats beyond the presented symptoms by stimulating a whole body healing response that affects the physical, chemical, emotional and mental aspects of each person. The positive effects of a treatment can sometimes continue and be felt for many days after. It is recommended that appointments be scheduled a week apart to allow the body to continue to process the previous treatments. For most conditions a series of 3 treatments is suggested to initiate the Bowen process. At the conclusion of the 3rd treatment, Claudine will be able to assess the progress and recommend a program of further treatments if needed.

Claudine is passionate about her work and firmly believes that in the next decade Bowen Technique will be as popular as other therapies like massage therapy and acupuncture.
